David Banks is executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Adventist Health System. He is responsible for strategic planning, marketing, communications, innovation, CREATION Health development, branding and the Population Health Services Organization (PHSO).
Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Adventist Health System hospitals throughout Florida. Banks has also held positions as administrator for Florida Hospital Celebration Health and Florida Hospital Kissimmee, senior vice president of multi-campus administration for Florida Hospital campuses in Central Florida and administrator for Florida Hospital Orlando.
Banks earned a bachelor's degree from Pacific Union College, and a master's degree in nonprofit administration from the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland. He is an active participant in Adventist Health System's community involvement program, which supports several nonprofits in Central Florida. Banks is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the boards of Second Harvest Food Bank, Florida Hospital Church and Health First. In the past, he has served as co-chair of the executive board for the American Heart Association of Central Florida, chairman for Community Vision and on the board of YMCA of Central Florida.
