Adventist Health System Participates in 59th General Conference Session of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

6/23/2010

Adventist Health System will be represented at the 59th General Conference Session of the Seventh-day Adventist Church from June 23-July 3 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The General Conference Session is the official world meeting of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Delegates, officially selected by the General Conference, unions and divisions, congregate at business meetings to vote on new agenda items and elect new church leaders.

During the conference an exhibition is held, providing an effective platform to share what different church organizations and individuals are doing in the context of the Church’s mission. Adventist Health System is partnering with Adventist Health, Kettering Health Network and Adventist HealthCare to represent Adventist hospitals across North America at the conference. Representatives from each health care organization will be working at the booth, sharing with visitors the health care message carried out in each of our hospitals.

Visitors at the health care coalition booth will have the opportunity to explore a tour of all Adventist hospitals in America, through an interactive touch-screen display. They will also be able to complete a health assessment, highlighting healthy choices to improve or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

If you are in the Atlanta area, we encourage you to come and join in the festivities. It is a time to reconnect with old friends, build new relationships and learn more about the Seventh-day Adventist church.

We would love to see you at booth 225: Seventh-day Adventist Healthcare—US.
