Adventist Health System honored the following individuals at the awards ceremony during the Opening Banquet at Conference on Mission 2010:
Crystal Angel Award
Adventist Health System’s Crystal Angel Award was developed to acknowledge individuals for their significant contributions to the advancement of the Adventist healthcare mission. In addition, it recognizes outstanding leadership in specific mission-related achievements, projects and programs as well as overall spiritual leadership. This year, Crystal Angels were presented to Dennis Meyers from Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rich Reiner from Adventist Health System and Samuel Turner, Sr. from Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Christian Service Award
In acknowledgment of outstanding Christian example and in recognition of their compassionate and untiring service to others, two individuals were honored with the Adventist Health System Christian Service Award. The recipients this year were Dr. John Guarneri from Florida Hospital and John Rapp from Adventist Midwest Health.
Community Service Award
In acknowledgment of their generous contributions and the positive impact they have had on improving the quality of life in their community, Vern Eitel from Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Karl McNair from Florida Hospital DeLand received the Adventist Health System Community Service Award.
