Centura Health Board of Trustees Appoints Reiner as Chairman

3/14/2008

Richard Reiner, president and CEO of Adventist Health System's Multi-State Division has been appointed chairman of the Centura Health Board of Trustees.

Reiner has served as a member of the Centura Board for more than seven years, and also served on the Board's Finance Commitee. He will assume his new position of leadership after Michael Fordyce, current Board chairman, steps down on May 1, 2008.

Fordyce announced recently that he will leave Catholic Health Initiatives to become the new president and CEO of Craig Hospital.

"While we regret to lose Mike [Fordyce] as a valuable asset to this Board, we are excited about the opportunities Rich's leadership will bring for the continued enrichment of our shared faith ministry in Colorado," said Don Jernigan, president and CEO of Adventist Health System.

Centura Health is a joint operating company between Adventist Health System and Catholic Health Initiatives, and is comprised of four hospitals in the Denver area.
