Adventist Health System is pleased to announce that Rick Mace has been named chief executive officer for Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Mace comes to this new role with more than 26 years of senior-level healthcare experience, most recently as Vice President, clinical services division of Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
“Rick is known for his long history of strong relationships with physicians, the community and staff, and is truly an inspiring leader,” said David L. Crane, president and CEO, Adventist Midwest Health. “Rick has proven his ability to inspire others to accomplish lofty goals.”
Mace was selected following a nationwide search. He replaces Isaac Palmer, who became Chief Operating Officer of Adventist Health System’s three-hospital Florida Hospital Heartland Division.
At Kettering Medical Center, Mace was responsible for overseeing more than 500 employees on three different campuses. Prior to that, he was corporate vice president for Superior Consultant Holdings Corporation in Dearborn, Mich. Mace’s background in clinical operations goes back to 1982, when he became vice president of operations at Florida Hospital Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., one of the Adventist Health System's 37 hospitals. He served there for fifteen years.
Mace looks forward to completing his family’s move to the Bolingbrook area by the end of April.
