Donald L. Jernigan, president/CEO for Adventist Health System, has been recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as one of the area’s ten most influential businessmen for 2007.
This distinguished recognition is a significant honor because competition is stiff. Central Florida is a hub for community-focused business and industry, and the finalists were selected from a large field of nominees.
Criteria for selection fall into two general areas: The individual’s area of influence must include – but also extend beyond – the corporate sphere. Also, the honoree will have made a significant impact on his business and community within the past 12 months.
In addition to official recognition, all honorees have been acknowledged by peers as outstanding in their field. They either lead, own or are in the forefront of a company or major association. All have exhibited a leadership role in the philanthrophic, civic or political arenas.
