Adventist GlenOaks Hospital

GlenOaks Hospital is a 186-bed facility positioned to meet the healthcare demands of the rapidly developing western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The hospital joined Adventist Health System in 1997 and is a part of the Midwest Region of hospitals.
The 200 member medical staff and a team of professional employees serve more than 36,000 patient visits per year, providing outpatient and inpatient primary care, behavioral health and wellness services.

DEDICATED TO PRIMARY CARE

GlenOaks is a certified Level II Trauma Center with board certified emergency medicine physicians. The hospital is equipped to provide urgent and emergency care. In the event a tertiary level of care is needed, GlenOaks maintains transfer capability to Loyola Medical Center and Hinsdale Hospital.
In addition to the trauma center, GlenOaks is the first in DuPage County to dedicate its entire obstetric unit to LDRP suites, allowing new mothers to labor, deliver, recover and receive post-partum care in the comfort of one room.
GlenOaks is dedicated to primary care but also maintains a strong priority in administering behavioral health programs and community wellness services.
The Hospital's Health Promotion Program offers education support classes, screenings, behavior modification programs, health fairs and lectures to the community.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Serving as the entry point to all GlenOaks Hospital Behavioral Health programs, the Assessment and Referral Department provides immediate assistance, 24 hours a day. The referrals may be to various support groups, psychotherapists and substance abuse services in DuPage, Kane and Cook Counties.
The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health treatment programs for adolescents and adults. The goal of these programs is to rapidly stabilize the patient and identify the source of their problems.
The Recovery Center of GlenOaks provides individualized treatment for chemical dependency. This outpatient program encourages members of the patient's family to participate in both counseling and therapy.
The most popular behavioral health educational support programs include Active Parenting, which helps parents problem-solve and further refine parenting skills, and Addicted to Trouble, a twelve week program that teaches participants how to manage anger and control aggressive behavior.

ATTENTION TO AGING ADULTS
Adventist GlenOaks Hospital offers a spectrum of services that meet the diverse needs of aging adults. Trained experts, including physicians board certified in geriatrics, address changing physical, psychological, spiritual and social issues. In addition to general acute care, the hospital also provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation car, an Alzheimer's Assessment Program, and specialized outpatient services.

A PLACE TO CALL HOME

Since it's opening in 1980, the hospital has maintained a high level of medical excellence in the community. GlenOaks Hospital serves a market of over 250,000. The hospital is just 25 minutes from O'Hare International Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Chicago.
